The MIDIGEL LIPO Kit will clearly separate Alpha (HDL), pre-beta (VLDL), and beta (LDL) lipoproteins. During electrophoresis, the lipoproteins separate (in order of decreasing mobility) into 4 fractions : alpha, pre-beta, beta lipoproteins and chylomicrons. MIDIGEL LIPO provides excellent resolution of the beta-pre-beta-lipoprotein zone (the alpha-lipoprotein band is sometimes split into alpha-lipoproteins and pre-alpha-lipoproteins). |
